The new head of the Togolese anti-corruption institution, the High Authority for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption and Related Offences (HAPLUCIA) Mr. Kimelabalo Aba is a magistrate of the first grade.

Former Judge at the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, Aba Kimelabalou, was also formerly the Director General of the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) which is the main body for the fight against money laundering, cybercrime, terrorist financing, cross-border crime, in the ECOWAS region, which he chaired up until late 2022.
